GENERAL INFORMATION

The Central Ohio Senior Softball Association (COSSA) is comprised of four senior softball leagues. Its first priority is to provide an atmosphere of recreation and enjoyment of the game of softball for Senior players of all levels of athletic skill. There are 60+, 65+, 70+ and 75+ age group leagues.  Approximately 450 men from Central Ohio participate in the program and the number is growing.

Weather permitting, pre-season informal practice starts the first Tuesday or Thursday of April for senior softball players at the McCord Park diamonds 10-12am. Everyone is welcome. Free.

The 60's Hilliard Senior Rec Softball League plays a Summer and Fall season. All games are played at Roger A Reynolds Park in Hilliard, Ohio. We are a competitive recreational league.

The Summer Season April -July, estimated to have 6-10 teams. *Plays single games on Monday and Wednesday nights with 6:00, 7:15 and 8:30PM start times.

*Rainouts will be made up *The season ending tournament will be the end of July.

The Fall Season runs August through early September. *Plays both Monday and Wednesday nights with *10 game schedule.

The 65's league is a Friday morning league and plays all of its games at McCord Park in Worthington.  It is comprised of 6-8 teams and plays a double header once a week on Friday morning starting at 9:30AM. The league and teams have serious and casual players. For more information contact Gary Hattery at ghattery@columbus.rr.com 614-949-2447

The 70's league plays its games at McCord Park in Worthington.  It is comprised of 7-8 teams, and plays on Tuesday and Thursday mornings starting at 10:30AM. The leagues and teams have serious players as well as the casual. For more information contact Jim Schroeder at jimschroeder@outlook.com.

The 75's league is a Tuesday/Thursday morning league and plays its games at McCord Park in Worthington starting at 9:00AM.  It is comprised of 6 teams. They constantly encourage senior men to join the teams.  Central Ohio is fortunate indeed to have more than one hundred men over seventy, some as old as 88, still active and playing softball.
